An error occurred in the article analysis and evaluation, “Questionable association of glass-ionomer sealants may be associated with a higher caries rate” (2002:2;8-9).

In the analysis section, it was stated that, “Not only are split-mouth clinical trials more prone to biased estimates of treatment effectiveness; often the statistical analysis performed is inappropriate. This was also the case for this study.” This statement is inaccurate. The statistical analysis of the split-mouth design was appropriate in this study.
